Our History... Nicola Cowling, a primary school teacher from Swindon, established Head

Start Tuition in November 2001. She saw that there was a demand in the town for personal tuition,
but that parents were often confuses about where to go.


		Head Start began with Nicola teaching alone from home, but very soon demand was so high that in September 2002 she set up premises in Devizes Road, Old Town. She set about recruiting experienced school teachers to join her and designing classrooms for one-to-one tuition. Since then, the company has continued to grow, providing lessons for more and more of Swindon’s children. It now has nine classrooms and more than 15 teachers tutoring over 150 pupils. Feedback from schools and parents have enhanced its reputation.
